Letter: YOUR SHOUT - Time for car clampdown.

Byline: RAY GORDON

WITH regard to a comment on additional parking tickets being issued in Newcastle. It can't come soon enough.

I think you want to come along Benton Road during working hours where there allegedly is a clearway which is not enforced. Cars park on the pavement, which means you can't get past.

There is a cycle path which cars park in which means that cyclists cannot use the cycle path. Complaints have been made to the police who so far appear not to have done anything. It has also been brought to the attention of

The local councillors who again appear to have done noting done nothing.

So the sooner they put some wardens on there to make is safer is safer for people to walk along and cyclists to cycle along, it will be much better.
