Letter: We must oppose 'controlling' EU; VOICE OF THE NORTH.

Byline: JOHN TENNANT

I AM pleased that Phillip Warren has slammed the European Union collective decision to end Britain's opt-out to the working time directive that was supported by our three MEPs in the North East and the parties they represent (Voice of the North, March 4).

UK Independence Party was the only British party that voted to keep our opt-out to the Working Time Directive. It is also fighting the EU elections once again, to make clear to the British people that almost every aspect of our daily lives is controlled by the corrupt and undemocratic institutions of the European Union.
