Letter: The BIG issue - Justice at last.
IT took 90 years, but 306 British soldiers executed for cowardice and desertion in the First World War are being given a posthumous pardon by the government. This follows years of campaigning by their families. Here are your views...
THE 306 victims were used as cannon fodder in that slaughterous conflict have rightly been pardoned after 90 years of the injustice of being branded cowards.
Gertrude Harris became one of the innocent victims of this war after the shameful execution of her father, Pte Harry Farr.
Yet we appear to have learnt nothing from history, with the innocent still victims in the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
Will it be another 90 years before our descendants learn the truth?
