THE US squadron responsible for killing 25-year-old Lance Corporal Matty Hull in a "friendly fire" incident has said sorry for its mistake four years after the event. The apology only came when leaked video footage, which defence chiefs denied existed, showed pilots firing on British tanks near Basra in March 2003. Here are your views...
THE friendly-fire video should not have been leaked. It serves no purpose in the war effort and we should not open the floodgates to allow condemnation of our allies over what was a dreadful mistake.
How often have British forces in the past been guilty of the same? There should be an investigation into the leak.
