Letter: Stop the killing.

Byline: E. Clarke

DO PRO-HUNTERS expect antihunting people like me to believe that the fox ever gets a fair chance and that if it reaches its den it is left in peace? What are the terrier men for?

And how many foxes are dug up and thrown to the dogs, along with any cubs they may be trying to protect?

Don't tell me that they care for the hounds at all or for the horses. In a chase, hounds and horses can be badly injured and even killed when they run into roads or on to railway lines.

Get a hobby that doesn't include the killing of animals; the human race has come a long way from slavery, bear-baiting, and dog and cock fighting, and it's about timefox hunting went the same way. I'm not convinced that foxes would overrun the country if they were left alone.
