Letter: Ridicule is unhelpful.


Dear Editor, -I know Andrew Cowen's Big World of Rock was meant to be funny, but it is still crass and insensitive to use words like 'loony', 'crackpot' and 'fruitcake' to describe people with mental health problems.

Thousands of your readers will have suffered such difficulties in the past, will be suffering them now or will face them in the future.

Ridicule is no help and is unworthy of The Birmingham Post. DR PETER TAYLOR Edgbaston.
