Letter: Reader's letter.

Dear Editor, - I can hardly believe the arrogance of the six Birmingham Labour MPs who have signed a House of Commons motion complaining because Liberal and Conservative Councillors have linked up to run Birmingham City Council.

We have just had democratic elections, following which Labour finished with 53 seats, while the Conservatives and Liberals combined had 67. I suggest any right-minded person would think it perfectly sensible in that situation for the Conservatives and Liberals to work together for the good of Birmingham.

It seems that, after 20 years in charge of our city, there are some in the Labour Party who find it hard to accept that they don't have a God-given right to run Birmingham for ever. Whatever happened to accepting the results of an election with good grace even if you are, for once, on the losing side?

Birmingham's Labour MPs seem to be competing with Sir Albert Bore for the title of the biggest bad loser in Birmingham!
