Letter: Parking pettiness.

Byline: JP

I AM writing in response to your article on Thursday's Birmingham Mail which highlights the attitude of Sandwell Council towards those who commit parking offences.

If it is of any use to Lisa McDonnell, my experience is that she will get a reply stating "the ticket was properly issued " followed by a banal statement similar to the one she has already received.

Where do the council get these people from?

Are they specially selected or do they train them to be so utterly pedantic?

I am no spring chicken and realise one day I shall shuffle off this mortal coil.

I dare not leave my car on a Pay and Display car park in case I peg out.

I have not made provision in my will for Fixed Penalty Tickets and have no intention of doing so, even if "the ticket was correctly issued".
