Letter: One of the best.

Byline: Phylip Hughes

THE National Eisteddfod of Mold must be counted as one of the best ever. The standard of choral singing in particular has never been higher, and the number of young people, men especially, taking part was heartening.

Very many English and other non-Welsh speakers gave their time and effort to secure this success, so once again in the National Eisteddfod it was so disappointing to hear at least two insulting references to the English people from the platformand subsequently on television. If the Chester festival were to insult the Welsh in a set competition, one can only imagine the furore.

Non-Welsh speakers are already being discriminated against in the majority of jobs in certain areas.

Why does the National Eisteddfod continue to add insult to injury?
