Letter: No surprise.
THE headline ' Crooks get care jobs' may have shocked the public, but I doubt it did anybody working in the care sector.
These agencies are so desperate for staff, given the low pay and unsociable hours, they will have anybody.
The government should be running the care for the elderly; they are vulnerable in private care Another point is this - just because a person has a clean police record does not mean they are honest. Some are clever; I have worked with the elderly, when belongings have gone missing, and all the staff have been vetted by a police check
