Letter: Little England mentality stinks; YOUR SHOUT.

Byline: A S

YOUR glorification of the Falklands conflict is a disgrace, E Watson, and I can assure you, the parents of the 231 soldiers and sailors who died would rather have their sons back than gloat over your so-called victory.

It is plain to see you and your contemporaries, such as Nichol Wilson, are more than willing to use our Armed Forces as cannon fodder to further your Little England mentality. The love you seem too have for Mrs Thatcher, pictured, is toe-curling and you would do well to remember how the North East was ravaged during her stay in office.

You have aligned yourself with a woman who didn't give a stuff about anywhere north of Watford and tried to destroy the working man.

Your views have been consigned to history, Mr Watson, and as far as I'm concerned it is good riddance to bad rubbish.

A S, Felling, Gateshead.
