Letter: Keep up good work, Janet.

Byline: Yvone McCombes

READING G Watson's letter (Your Say, July 29) about Janet Cummings, I was disappointed about the criticism of an animal lover for celebrating saving badgers.

The comments about the food chain and how badgers will eat mice etc were not relevant to culling badgers. That's nature, culling badgers isn't.

On the subject of animal cruelty, I have not managed to convince anyone (except my husband!) into ensuring they buy only products that are not tested on animals.

Thank goodness for people like Janet Cummings. I love reading her letters because it reminds me that there are others who care about animals. She keeps educating people and if it changes the views of one person, then that is fantastic.

If anyone is interested in changing their shopping habits, check out the PETA or All for Animals websites which tell you which products are/are not tested on animals.
