Letter: It's our money.

THIS is not the first time I've aired my views about the chief constable of North Wales, but the revelation that he is about to resurrect his plans for a needle dispensing centre and a mounted police unit leaves me flabbergasted.

Is it sheer arrogance or delusions of grandeur which triggers Mr Brunstrom's total disregard for public opinion? Can't he understand that these are not wanted, and that the cost of his hare-brained ideas have to be met by the rate payers, who quite candidly are fed up with him, his inability to deal with real issues which are the bane of our lives - violence, drug abuse, theft and burglary. The final straw, as far as I amconcerned, is his claim that the ideas and the cost are "operational matters" and should not be interfered with. May I remind him that he is financed by the community, that it is public money, not his personal swag bag.
