Letter: Clothing riddle.

Byline: BARBARA DUNN

ONE of the Western complaints against Islam has been the forcing of women to wear burkas.

I can understand older women who have been forced to wear them all their life having difficulty breaking the habit, but surely not younger women.

Hardly a day goes by when I don't see women wearing these things.

Why have we bothered to protest on their behalf if they themselves continue to wear them in a country where they don't have to?
