Letter: Candid camera.

Byline: Jim Henderson

I FEEL that the results of the speed camera study are by no means telling the full story. Richard Brunstrom tells us that they have put cameras in the right places. Well I beg to differ,as one very dangerous place that does not have a camera, and rarely has the Arrive Alive camera there either, is the Ewloe-Hawarden road and consequently, idiots are continually being allowed to race through the area.

Another point is that of tailgaiting, and intimidation with flashing lights and horn blowing to try to make people go faster in built up areas and break the speed limit. Cameras may be effective in some areas in the right places, but with so many problems related to standards of driving, they cannot do the job in place of manpower, and it is disgraceful that these dangerous drivers are still getting away with it.
