Letter: 'you say' - Cherie won't be brought to book.

Byline: H Rigazio

KNIFE crime is spiralling out of control. Punishments are just not harsh enough to deter it.

In the UK we are witnessing just the tip of the iceberg and more victims will be targeted unless we stem this culture of violence.

More needs to be done to educate our youngsters to the dangers of carrying knives. Maybe they need a short sharp shock such as being shown the injuries they might cause, and what would happen to them if they got caught.

The Government needs to get serious about punishments. This nation is far too soft.
