INTERNET sensation Martha Payne has backed a bid to give pupils more say about school meals.

Martha - whose blog NeverSeconds about dinners at her school has had 10million hits - is in favour of a charity's report which revealed students want to be involved in decisions about school meals.

Children in Scotland surveyed more than 300 pupils. They said they want problems such as queues at school canteens addressed and unappealing menus spiced up.

Martha, 11, from Lochgilphead in Argyll, said: "It's brilliant that pupils want to get more involved with what they eat.

"Health and wellbeing is a big issue and school is the best place for people to start getting involved."
