Less of the lager.

THE comment made by justice minister Leanne Wood AM (Daily Post last week and mentioned on Tuesday by your Welsh Affairs correspondent Tom Bodden) was I feel most irresponsible in saying "Many of my friends will drink, for example, between eight and 10 pints of lager on a night out."

She then went on to say "I am not glorifying that behaviour, I am just trying to explain that this is common practice.

Common practice? Whilst I concede that many folk would drink that much, and many idiots would drink themselves into drunken stupors and even premature alcohol-related deaths, either for themselves or others, it is more commonly a matter of moderation, and surely not the excessive amount mentioned
