Computer company Lenovo unveiled on Tuesday (21 March) its first Lenovo-branded dual-core notebook computer, the Lenovo 3000 N100.

According to the company, the new N100, designed for small business customers, is available with an Intel Core Duo or Solo processor, features integrated 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN and 10/100 Ethernet on all models, as well as Bluetooth on select models, and comes in 14.1in and 15.4in widescreen models. In addition, the N100 incorporates a 4-in-1 multi-card reader for downloading digital pictures from multiple types of memory cards, four USB ports, 1394 and S-Video ports, the company claims.

The N100 reportedly automates many routine security and maintenance tasks though a suite of productivity tools, Lenovo Care, which features a one-button system recovery; automatic updates that download and install critical updates for Lenovo software; and easy connectivity for simple wired or wireless set up.

The Lenovo N100 will be available beginning on 28 March, 2006. Pricing starts at GBP740.
