Leisure trustearns industry accolade.

A North Lanarkshire Leisure (NLL) campaign to encourage more local residents to increase their activity levels has earned a top industry accolade.

The organisation's We Support EveryBODY project was named marketing campaign of the year at the prestigious UK active sports awards.

It aimed to encourage more people to get active, regardless of ability or background, and was chosen for the award following "a rigorous independent assessment process".

Managing director Emma Walker said: "It showcased people of all ages and body types.

"The focus was to highlight how NLL supports everyone and shows our huge variety of products, programmes and services."

Awards were presented at the ceremony in Manchester by Olympic cycling gold medallist Joanna Rowsell and physical activity expert Greg Whyte.
