Leicester: Kelly scores a cheeky success.

Byline: Will O'Hanlon

SHANE KELLY showed that he too fancies the role of Piggott imitator as he rode Thesis to a very cheeky neck victory over Dunkineely Boy in the first division of the mile handicap, easing the Jamie Osborne favourite down in the last 100 yards to leave the issue in a little doubt right to the line.

Osborne said: "Shane shares a house with Jamie [Spencer] and, having seen Jamie win one like that at Lingfield earlier in the year, he obviously decided that whatever Jamie could do, he could do just as well."
