Legal notice sent to anchor for wrong statement about Zahid Hamid.

ISLAMABAD -- Legal notice was sent to Mubasharr Luqman anchor of program 'Khara Such' in channel 24 on Thursday for giving wrong statement about Federal Minister for law Justice and Climate change.

It is stated in the notice that in the program 'Khara Such' telecasted by channel 24 news HD on July 11, 2017 at 10 PM, mentioned that Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Climate Change Zahid Hamid along other MNAs, is going to leave his political party' Pakistan Muslim League (N)very shortly.

The legal notice also stated that this wild, false and fabricated statement is without any basis .Federal Minister for law Justice and Climate Change Zahid Hamid is proud to have been elected twice as a Member of the National Assembly on the ticket of the Pakistan Muslim League. Prime Minister Nawaz being appointed Federal Minister has further honored him.

It further mentions client is a loyal, steadfast and committed member of the PML (N) and is actively engaged in implementation of its manifesto. The slanderous statement is a deliberate attempt to malign and defame the client and expose him to criticism and ridicule, for the benefit of his political opponents.

The legal notice also demands from the channel to retract the statement and make an unconditioned apology in the same program and at the same timings. In case of failing to do so, instructed to initiate civil and criminal proceedings against the anchor and other responsible for the false statement under the relevant laws, including suit for damages for a sum of rupees 10 crores.
