Leeds join rush for Ian.
By JOHN EDWARDSIAN RUSH (above) is ready to form a deadly duo with Tony Yeboah at Elland Road next season. The Liverpool striker sparked a transfer scramble by revealing that he's quitting Anfield at the end of the season.
And Leeds became red-hot favourites to land him last night after he admitted: "I'd definitely be interested in playing for them." The 34-year old - who cost Liverpool pounds 300,000 from Chester in 1980 - stressed that he hadn't spoken to anyone from Leeds.
But Rush, who is also fancied by Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Celtic, Sheffield United and Tranmere, confirmed: "It's flattering to be linked with a club as big as Leeds, and it's something I'd definitely look at.
"I'd have to weigh up all the options. But there's no doubt about it - if Leeds wanted me, they'd be high on my list."
Meanwhile, Georgian international defender Kachabar Tchadadze - a former team-mate of Yeboah's in Germany - arrives today for a ten-day trial at Leeds with a view to a pounds 1million move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
