Lebanon and Jordan are due to sign a number of agreements and documents today aimed at enhancing relations between the two countries, the Beirut daily AN NAHAR reported Friday. Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri is scheduled to hold talks with his visiting Jordanian counterpart Samir al-Rifai Friday. AN NAHAR published the following agreements and documents that will be signed by both countries:
1- Executive program for the cooperation agreement between the Jordanian institution for developing economic projects and the Lebanese Trade Information Center in 2010-2011.
2- Protocol on cooperation in protecting national production.
3- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between Jordanian and Lebanese departments for monitoring companies.
4- Technical program for activating the agreement for joint recognition of quality and specification certificates.
5- Memorandum of Understanding for industrial cooperation.
6- Agreement for administrative cooperation regarding customs issues.
7- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the agricultural field.
8- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in animal health, animal production, and veterinary medications.
9- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in agricultural research and guidance.
10- Agreement regarding airline services.
11- Memorandum of Understanding recognizing certificates of qualification of maritime servicemen.
12- An executive program for tourism cooperation in 2010-2012.
13- An executive program for cultural cooperation in 2010-2012.
14- An executive program for cooperation in higher education and scientific research covering 2010-2012.
15- Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between Jordanian and Lebanese ministries of health.
