Lebanese Army Intensifies Military Operations against ISIL in Baalbek.
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Lebanese Armed Forces stepped up their military operations in the Baalbek Highlands on Wednesday, targeting the ISIL positions at the village of Wadi Rafiq near the Lebanon-Syria border.
According to a military source, the Lebanese Army devastated the ISIL terrorists in the Baalbek Highlands on Wednesday, killing over 15 enemy combatants as they attempted to expel the terrorist group from eastern Lebanon, Al Masdar reported.
ISIL still maintains a rather large presence along the Syria-Lebanon border, despite being constantly targeted by the Lebanese Army and Hezbollah.
In the coming months, the Lebanese Army will have to commit more soldiers to this front in order to expel the ISIL terrorists from Jarod 'Arsal and the Baalbek Highlands.
