Leaving EU will save steel jobs.

WE are constantly being told by the pro-European union supporters that if we leave the corrupt EU thousands of jobs will be lost.

It shows how thin their argument is that, precisely as we are in the EU, we are unable to save the steel jobs in Teesside and, probably, South Wales, because of the EU rules which our successive governments follow slavishly while every other government chooses to ignore if it affects their interest.

If the latest disclosure that the Eurocrats have known for five years that certain car firms were cheating on car emission readings it puts the EU almost on a par with FIFA for corruptness.

Car workers need not fear for their jobs. If EU countries won't take our cars we can simply ban VW, Audi, BMW and Mercedes imports. Our carbon emissions will reduce dramatically.

We could stop the import of foreign subsidised milk, thereby saving our own milk farmers from bankruptcy. Then there is the little matter of payments to belong to this so-called union.

We would save more than PS12bn a year, or PS60bn over the course of a parliament. I am sure a much better use could be made of this money.
