Learning while ypu work.

FIRMS across Wales have been challenged to engage in learning activities as part of NIACE Cymru's Learning at Work Day.

The challenge for businesses in Wales to actively participate in a learning activity was made by Ken Skates AM, Welsh Government Deputy Minister for Technology and Skills.

The Deputy Minister said: "I want to lay down a challenge to employers. When Learning at Work Day is held on June 19, I want to see at least an additional 100 organisations engaging in some form of learning activity.

"This could be vocational skills, essential skills or anything that is appropriate to each organisation."

Cerys Furlong, director of NIACE Cymru, said: "From improved earning potential for employees through to increased profits for employers, Learning at Work Day is an opportunity to rediscover and celebrate the positive benefits of learning at, and for, work.

"We're encouraging as many employers in Wales to sign up to this challenge and take part in Learning at Work Day 2014".
