How the Research Foundation Helps FEI Members
"I joined FEI In 1969, Initially to receive the magazine and the research reports. After a while I got involved In Chapter activities and gained from the personal contacts. But underlying everything was the substantive knowledge available to members from the work of the Research Foundation. That is the bedrock that permits everything else. Over the years, FERF studies, and I was involved in several, have proven very helpful In business. Then when my son, Tom, went into financial management I urged him to join, and be active, in FEI. But he can tell his own story."--Al King, FEI member, Vice Chairman & Senior Technical Director, Financial Valuation and Consulting with Marshall & Stevens
"Financial Executives Research Foundation is an invaluable resource for FEI members. I am a longtime FEI Executive member presently working toward my doctoral degree, studying how earnings guidance influences communication between firms and investors. Colleagues at FERF have opened all sorts of doors for my research. The staff has helped with a literature review, introductions to senior executives In industry, and design of a survey that will be given to FEI members this spring. My experiences demonstrate how FERF bridges a gap between scholars and practitioners, and represents a crown jewel within FEI."--Tom King (son of Al King), FEI member, Flead of International Business with Progressive Corp.
