League Champion picked to win Shadwell feature.

Dubai: Jebel Ali stages a seven race card on Friday afternoon with 13 runners declared for the Dhs 100,000 Shadwell Stables handicap over 1,200 metres.

The field are headed by the Rashed Bouresly-trained League Champion who has run both his best races locally on this course. The horse was runner-up two months ago to stable companion Star Crowned.

He was fourth in last year's Jebel Ali Sprint and his trainer explained: "He does seem to like the track and will hopefully run a big race."

Mike de Kock's Valiance was eighth in the Jebel Al Sprint but is considerably better off at the weights.
