Leading Investment Bank Invests in Active Policy Management from Orchestria to Ensure Regulatory Compliance in Electronic Communications.

NEW YORK -- - Top ten investment bank to gain total visibility and control of electronic communications in response to regulatory environment -

A top 10 ranked US investment bank is implementing active policy management (APM) software from Orchestria to enhance visibility and control of email, instant messaging, the Web and other electronic communications.

The Orchestria implementation is a key part of the investment bank's plans to exceed stringent new supervisory demands that have arisen from recent events in the financial services industry.

"To date, many compliance departments are staffed with individuals responsible for reviewing and quarantining electronic communication," said Brian Babineau, an analyst with Enterprise Strategy Group. "With Orchestria, organizations can reduce this burden by actively enforcing policies prior to communications being sent."

Orchestria's active policy management software differs from other compliance software packages in that its policy enforcement component actively stops non-compliant messages from being sent or received. Its on-screen alerts, meanwhile, help to educate users about the need to observe relevant policies.

This will be the tenth large financial institution to implement Orchestria.

Bo Manning, CEO, Orchestria said: "Orchestria was selected for two key reasons: its unique pre-send and supervisory functionality; and our proven understanding of regulation, policy and compliance as business issues in investment banking."

About Orchestria (www.orchestria.com)

Orchestria Corporation is the global leader in the fast emerging Active Policy Management (APM) software market. APM software provides the only truly effective means of assuring compliance with all forms of regulatory and business policy as they relate to electronic communications sent from E-mail and Instant Messenger applications, Bloomberg(R) and BlackBerry(R) devices, and Web browsers. In today's regulatory and business environment, failure to assure policy compliance presents exposure to unacceptable business risks.

Orchestria is used by many of the world's largest investment banks, asset managers, and mutual fund companies. Additionally, leading solution providers to the financial services industry, such as Bloomberg, embed Orchestria software in their offerings to provide comprehensive compliance capabilities. Leading industry analysts have recognized the Orchestria solution as "unique" and "sophisticated".

Orchestria supports both fundamental approaches to Active Policy Management; Policy Enforcement and Intelligent Surveillance. In Policy Enforcement, Orchestria recognizes policy violations in electronic communications and Web activity before the communication is sent or the Web transaction is completed, stopping the violation before it occurs. With Intelligence Surveillance, Orchestria enables compliance personnel to effectively target their compliance efforts to electronic communications and web activity that have a high probability of violation as opposed to simply reviewing a small set of random events.

Founded in August 2000, Orchestria is headquartered in New York with additional sales offices in Boston and London.
