NEW YORK -- Author of "Net Attitude" and Knovel Corporation Board Member presents "The Ultimate Internet: We Have Only Just Begun"

Knovel Corporation (www.knovel.com), a leading provider of revolutionary Web-based information services that increase productivity for millions of engineers, scientists, students, and librarians worldwide announced today that Knovel Board Member John Patrick will be delivering the keynote address at the Nylink 2005 Annual Meeting, which will be held May 4-5, 2005 at The Gideon Putnam Resort and Spa in historic Saratoga Springs, New York. Nylink, established in 1973, is a not-for-profit membership organization for all types of libraries and information organizations throughout New York State and surrounding areas.

Mr. Patrick, President of Attitude LLC and a member of the Knovel Corporation Board of Directors, is a former Vice President of Internet Technology at IBM and the author of "Net Attitude." One of the leading Internet visionaries, Mr. Patrick is quoted frequently in the global media and speaks at dozens of conferences around the world. Business 2.0 named him as one of the industry's most intriguing minds, Industry Week named him one of the top 30 people who drive innovation and provide the initial spark to economic growth, and Network World called him one of the 25 most powerful people in networking.

In his presentation "The Ultimate Internet: We Have Only Just Begun," he will discuss the rapid evolution of the Internet and how it is about to make today's Internet seem primitive. He will bring to life his vision of the technological and societal changes underway and lead a discussion of the ramifications of this future state on libraries and their roles. More importantly, he will offer a glimpse of the future beyond the Internet as we know it.

"We're thrilled to have John Patrick as our keynote presenter this year," said Mary-Alice Lynch, Executive Director of Nylink. "His vision of the power and the potential of the Internet and its effect on the libraries of the future is certainly exciting. On behalf of our members, I'd like to thank Knovel Corporation for making the presentation possible."

Other presenters at the Nylink 2005 Annual Meeting from New York Public Library, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. Lawrence University and SUNY Geneseo will share exciting initiatives and programs occurring in and among New York's libraries.
