Leader Troubles?

On Sept. 2, the weekly North Little Rock Leader and the Sunday edition of the North Pulaski Leader ceased publication. That caused media watchers north of the river to speculate the expanding firm may be faltering.

But Garrick Feldman, publisher of both papers, says not to worry. He just has too many irons in the fire with other commercial printing jobs.

Feldman, who purchased a $400,000 6-unit color press in 1989, says he is active in commercial printing his own paper and wants to devote more energy to the potentially lucrative business.

The North Pulaski Leader is still published once a week on Wednesdays, Feldman says.
