Leader in VPN chooses SBE's Gigabit adapter.
SBE's Gigabit Ethernet adapter was chosen because it offers the greatest port density and flexibility at a competitive price. OEM developers can leverage off-the-shelf products such as the "lanPMC-4GC" for fast turn around, and focus their attention on best-of-class specialized hardware and software features for product differentiation.
The lanPMC-4GC features four-ports of Gigabit Ethernet on an industry standard PMC form factor with RJ45C (copper) connectors for CAT-5 cabling. The adapter has been designed for maximum port connectivity and features Intel's fourth generation 82546EB Ethernet controllers. In addition to Gigabit speeds the adapter can automatically interface with legacy 10/100 Mb/second networks when used in VMEbus, CompactPCI or PCI systems.
"SBE is encouraged by the early success of the LAN adapter product family," said Dan Grey, senior vice president of sales and marketing for SBE. "By using SBE's Gigabit Ethernet adapters our customers will conserve valuable resources for more important timely innovation," Grey concluded.
SBE provides high performance, standards-based products for a wide range of applied computing applications. Our broad offering of WAN and LAN adapters along with our HighWire family of communication controllers enable the delivery of cost-effective network connectivity interfaces across the full range of next generation networking systems.
Based in San Ramon, California, SBE designs and sells network communications solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the global networking marketplace. SBE's products enable rapid development and deployment in customer's products in order to compete effectively in today's next-generation networks.
SBE is a publicly traded company (Nasdaq:SBEI) with products sold world-wide through direct sales, OEM and system integration partners.
