Leader and news article contradictory; VOICE OF THE NORTH.

YOUR leader (The Journal, November 5) was, sadly, reflective of your political bias regarding the Whitley Bay dome, an exercise in financial skullduggery.

It has been obvious, since concept, that the aspirations of the previous mayor were unsustainable, and your own report in the same edition reflects just how much financial incompetency has arisen due to the vacuous Labour Party grandstanding fancy ideas without having the intelligence to effectively cost and then supervise their grandiose schemes.

Your leader and your news article are totally contradictory: financial prudence is necessary and as our leading regional newspaper you should put politics to one side for the benefit of our regions. Lastly, the comments from the nameless Labour spokesperson reflect that party's irresponsible attitude that is burdening the residents of North Tyneside with a future debt.
