Le Monde: Armenia's joining the Customs Union is not conditioned by Moscow's pressure but by security problems.

Yerevan. The Karabakh conflict may resume in the worst option, French Le Monde says.

The unprecedented growth of tension has been noticed in the region, which gives a ground to scare resumption of the armed

conflict especially if we take into account arms race of both participants in the conflict, Le Monde says.

As for Armenia's joining the Customs Union instead of signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, Le Monde says it is

not conditioned by Moscow's pressure, as many politicians and experts say, but by Armenia's security problems. The presence of

thousands of Russian servicemen at the territory of Armenia, cheap Russian weapon delivery to Armenia and an idea to have close and

friendly relations with Russia - all these elements are the guarantee of protection from the aims pursued by Baku, Le Monde says.
