Although Noah's father insists that the cat stay behind while they prospect for gold in Klondike, Alaska, Noah sneaks Shadow into his bag anyway. Noah and his father encounter many hardships, and Shadow is discovered and soon has kittens. Things look bleak until Noah comes up with a creative way to buy a piece of land. Ages 5-8.
