Law firm adds four floors on Sixth Ave.

In one of this year's largest Midtown office expansions, law firm White & Case has added four floors, or 62,424 square feet, to the 350,000 square feet it had already occupied at 1155 Avenue of the Americas, says The Durst Organization. The term is for approximately 13 years.

Headquarted in New York, White & Case is ranked the fourth largest law firm in the nation by The National Law Journal.

The firm, which was the anchor tenant at 1155 Avenue of the Americas when the property was built in 1984, and remains its largest tenant, now occupies approximately 60% of the building. White & Case has also negotiated additional expansion rights with the owner.

"The Durst Organization has enjoyed a strong relationship with White & Case for the past two decades, and we are delighted that we can accommodate the firm's continued expansion needs," says Tom Bow, senior vice president of leasing for The Durst Organization. "This transaction illustrates our commitment to our long-term tenants and confirms their satisfaction with 1155 as a top, midtown office building."
