Law, Sprunger Have New Jobs At Hartford Financial Services.

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. has named Senior Vice President Richard J. Law as head of the company's commercial lines operations for small businesses. law succeeds Larry Conover, who has left the company. Senior Vice President Rex Sprunger succeeds Law as head of Hartford's marine business unit.

Law joined Hartford in 1981 as a casualty underwriter. He became general manager of the Philadelphia office in 1992, general manager of the Chicago regional office in 1994 and senior vice president and Southern division manager in 1996. He assumed responsibility for marine last March.

Sprunger joined Hartford in 1984 as a commercial sales representative. He served as commercial business unit director for the Southern division, general manager of the Cleveland regional office and in 1998, he became senior vice president, commercial sales and agency management.
