Laureate Education has deal to sell university in Morocco.

Laureate Education Inc., anetwork offor-profithigher education institutions headquartered in Baltimore, hasa deal to sell itsuniversity in Morocco. Laureate intends to sell Universit Internationale de Casablanca toKMR Holding Pdagogique, aprivate higher education company that operates in French-speaking parts of Africa, for 500 million Moroccan dirhams, which is roughly $53.6 million at the current exchange rate. Laureate expects the transaction to close by the end of the second quarter of 201. The university, which is recognized by Morocco, offers undergraduate, graduate and executive education programs in business, engineering and health. The principal shareholder of KMR is Development Partners International LLP, a London-headquartered private equity firm that invests across Africa.
