Late call for town arts festival.

PEOPLE wanting to take part in this year's Nuneaton Festival of Arts are being urged to get their entries in soon.

The annual festival, which attracts hundreds of competitors from all over north Warwickshire, will run from February to May.

Festival spokeswoman Beverly Attwood said: "The syllabus is out - and entries are due in February.

"Copies of the syllabus can be found in libraries, at the museum and music shops."

The closing date for entries for the original writing, stage-dancing, woodwind, strings and brass sections is February 13. Other diary dates are:

February 14: Closing date for piano entries; February 22/23: art entries accepted; February 27: art adjudication; February 28: art exhibition opens; closing date for vocal, speech and drama sections; March 1: closing date for craft section entries.
