Rooney's shooting practice ahead of today's warmup against Japan did not go entirely to plan - in fact he was so off target that boss Fabio Capello gave him a playful kick up the backside.
But Rooney was in no mood to be rebuked and told the Italian 'if you're so good, you have a go'.
Earlier in the session at England's training camp in Austria, Theo Walcott felt the shuddering force of a full-blooded Rooney challenge which appeared to shock watching team-mate Ashley Cole.
Walcott had to leap into the air to avoid injury...
now that's what you call altitude training.
