Largest Bead Mosaic on Show.

Summary: DUBAI - The World's Largest Bead Mosaic listed in the 2009 Arabic edition of the Guinness Book of World Records is on display at the upcoming Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) 2009.

Reem Al Gurg, the Emirati record-holder, is at the fair with her 3.75-square-metre bead mosaic called 'Dates' that took four months to complete with 18,231 wooden beads.

Al Gurg's creation is showcased by the Guinness Book of World Records, which on Sunday announced its participation in the fair with the aim of inspiring Emirati children and adults alike to push their own boundaries in pursuit of excellence.

The worldwide encyclopaedia of stupendous feats by ordinary people, officially represented in the Middle East and North Africa by Al Waseet International, is participating in the fair till March 22.

The 19th ADIBF is organised by Kitab and is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt International Book Fair.
