The Swedish gold exploration company Lappland Goldminers AB said on Tuesday (18 April) that it had submitted an application for a permit in accordance with the Swedish Environmental Code for mining and processing at Faboliden in Sweden.

The mine and processing facilities for extracting gold and converting it into finished dore ingots have a planned capacity of 5 million tons of ore per year.

The processing facility would be designed to process gold and silver from the Faboliden deposit and from nearby mines, the company said.
