SPOKANE - Kim Wilson broke a 20-year Lane record in the triple jump, and the Titan men and women placed second to Spokane on the final day of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges track and field championships on Friday.

Wilson, a freshman from Hutchinson, Alaska, won with a mark of 38 feet to eclipse the LCC record of 37-5 by Amy Bruhn in 1989.

It was the second school record set by a Titan during the two-day meet, as sophomore Tyler Lindgren bested his own hammer mark of 187-0 with a winning throw of 189-2 on Friday.

The Lane men, who trailed Spokane by 10 points after the first day, finished with 2511/2 to the Bigfoot's 2771/2.

Spokane won the women's meet with 224 points to the Titans' 179.

Chris Stubbs, a freshman out of Willamette High, won the 100 and 200 meters on Friday, and sophomore Bryan Harper, from Junction City, won the 400.

They also ran on both of Lane's winning relays, and sophomore Seth Lindquist added a fifth men's victory in the triple jump.

Bristow ends up 96th; ASU leads Pac-10's 1-2-3 finish

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Oregon senior Cathryn Bristow shot a final-round 80 to finish tied for 96th at the NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the Caves Valley Golf Club on Friday.

Bristow finished at 28-over 316. Purdue's Maria Hernandez finished at 289 for a one-stroke victory over USC freshman Jennifer Song.

"While I was playing I was trying to shoot a good score," Bristow said, "and once the tourney was over, it dawned on me that it's over. I'm not too sad because I know I have so many memories that will last for years."

Arizona State led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Pac-10 in the team race as the Sun Devils won their first title since 1998 by an eight-stroke margin over UCLA. Another shot back was USC.
