Lal Masjid incident probe: Commission summons Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz.

ISLAMABAD -- The Commission to probe into Lal Masjid/Jamia Hafsa incident has summoned former President General (retd) Pervaiz Musharraf and former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to appear before the commission in the second week of February.

While on Thursday president of Pakistan Muslim league (Q) Chaudhary Shujat Hussain, Ex Federal Minister for Religious affairs Ijaz ul Haq and Tariq Azeem (Ex-Minister for Information) appeared before the commission and got recorded their statements whereas Muhammad Ali Durrani (Ex-Federal Minister for Information who had summoned on Thursday made request to appear before the commission on Friday

The Commission has summoned Sumaira Malik (Ex -Federal Minister), Chaudhary Wajahat Hussain (Ex-MNA), Abdul Sattar Edhi (social worker), Begum Bilqis Edhi(Social worker), Aftab ahmad Khan Sherpao (Ex-Minister for Interior), Javed Ashraf Qazi (Ex-Minister for Education), Aneesa Zaib Tahirkheili (Ex-state Minister for Education), Zafar Iqbal Warraich Ex-state Minister for Interior), senator Talha Mehmood, Mushahid Hussain Syed (Ex-MNA), Liaquat Baloch (Ex-MNA), Shah Abdul Aziz ( Ex-MNA) for 01-02-2013, Sardar Asmat Ullah (Ex-president High Court Bar, Rawalpindi), Sajid Ilyas Bhatti (Ex-General secretary High Court Bar, Rawalpindi ), Raja Khalid Ismail Abbasi ( Ex-President district Bar Rawalpindi), Syed Intizar Mehdi shah (Ex-General secretary District Bar ,Rawalpindi ),Taufiq Asif (Advocate supreme court) , Malik Waheed Anjum (Advocate Supreme Court) on Feb 2.

The Commission has also decided to summon the Ulemas who negotiated between The government and management of Lal Masjid Jamia Hafsa, the then & present concerned state functionaries and the then governmental office holder including General Pervaiz Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz and the Media person in 2nd week of February 2013.
