Ladies Auxiliary VFW Massachusetts President Veronica Wood of Millbury, a member of the Charles F. Minney Auxiliary 3329, joined other key leaders at the 2014 National Mid-Year Conference of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States held Feb. 8-13.

The more than 300 members from throughout the country who attended the conference heard National President Armithea Borel of Louisiana discuss the midyear progress of their nine programs, such as veterans and family support, the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest and the hospital program.

The nearly 500,000 members of the Auxiliary nationwide are wives, mothers, daughters and other female relatives of those who have served in the U.S. military overseas during a war or conflict.
