Lab Director track at ThinkLab '05. The University of Wisconsin and COLA are sponsoring a Laboratory Director education track at the CLMA/ASCP ThinkLab '05 Conference and Exhibition in Chicago, March 5-8. Planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the program is targeted at physicians who want to acquire the CME (continuing medical education) credits necessary to become directors of moderate-complexity laboratories. Others who will benefit from the program include clinical lab professionals who require supervisory skills for physician office laboratory practices. Upon completing the program, which includes four sessions at the conference and six online courses delivered through COLA's LabUniversity over the following six months, physicians will receive Laboratory Director certificates along with CME credits toward the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award. The program is approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for physicians practicing in CLIA-certified labs. To learn more about this program, visit
