LUMHS 17TH CONVOCATION: GIRLS OUTSHINE IN EVERY DISCIPLINE.

HYDERABAD -- Girl students have outshined in almost all disciplines the degrees of which were given away at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences 17th convocation held at Jamshoro. In all 336 students passed in MBBS,89 in BDS,41 in DPT, 37 in Bio Medical engineering and 79 in Post graduation. Convocation held under chair of vice chancellor LUMHS professor Bhika Ram Devrajani was attended among others by Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh ministers Dr. Sikendar Mandhro, Imdad Ali Pittafi and others. Apart from degrees gold and silver medals were also given away to ongoing students majority of these medals was also captured by girls. Out of 577 degree receipients 294 were girls.

Out of 17 top positions in MBBS, 12 were girls; In BDS 13 were girls out of 15 top 10 position holders;in similar way in Dr of physiotherapy and bio medical engineering all 12 and all 11 positions among top 10 were captured by girls. These include Dr.Zainab Aslam Saeed who placed in 1st position in MBBS with 8 gold medals; Dr. Azhar 2nd position and 2 gold and one silver medal; Dr. Preh at 3rd position with 2 gold and one bronze medal; Dr. Umesh Kumar placed at No.4; Dr. Ali Raza Shaikh at No.5;dr. Mewish Mahmood, dr. Zarnain and Dr.Sunaina at No 6;Dr. Adna at No.7;Dr. Zohra Jabeen,Dr. Hassan Bilal, Dr. Numera and Dr. Mansha Hassan placed at No.8th; Dr. Maham Hayat and Dr. Musaffa Qureshi at No.9 and Dr.Ekta Raj and Dr. Sadia Shaikh at No.10.

In BDS Dr. Munal Maria got 1st with gold medal;Dr. Hadiqa placed at No.2 with 2 gold and one silver medal and Dr. Marvi placed at No. 3 with bronze medal. In DPT Dr.Quratul Ain, Dr.Wardan Ali, Dr. Nisha and Dr.Shalni got first 3 positions among top 10. In Bio medical engineering top 3 positions were achieved by Dr. Anam, Dr.Aneela and Dr.Faryal.
