COATESVILLE, Pa., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Lukens Inc. (NYSE: LUC)

has announced the resignation of John R. Bartholdson, 48, as senior vice president-finance and administration and chief financial officer in order to pursue new business opportunities.
The announcement, effective immediately, is in line with Bartholdson's desire for expanded responsibility, which would be better served in a new situation.

From 1989 to 1991, he was responsible for the company's industrial operations, serving as the group president and chief operating officer. It was at the beginning of 1992 that he was named to his current position.
