 LUCAS WINS SIGNIFICANT BOEING CONTRACT
 RESTON, Va., June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucas Aerospace has been


awarded a contract from Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Seattle. The award is for the thrust reverser synchronous locking mechanism which will be fitted on CFM56-3-powered Boeing 737 aircraft, Pratt & Whitney-powered Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft, and the GE CF6-80A powered 767 aircraft.
 The thrust reverser synchronous locking mechanism has been designed and developed by Lucas to provide an additional lock feature to complement the current Boeing thrust reverser systems. The design enables retrofit on current Boeing aircraft in service and on all new build.
 Earlier this year, the Lucas facility at Wolverhampton received from Boeing their D1-9000 Advanced Quality System Specification award which was followed by a contract for the design and production of the Powered Door Opening System (PDOS) for the Boeing 777 aircraft.
 The Actuation Business at Wolverhampton's is part of the Lucas Aerospace Flight Control and Actuation Systems Division, which designs, develops and manufactures primary and secondary actuation systems, power transmission special purpose actuation systems, servo- controls, rescue hoists and winches, and hydraulic systems.
